Woven on traditional power looms still in operation in Nishiwaki, Hyogo, this indigo tartan is a fine example of Banshu-ori—a textile tradition known for its depth and quality.
Using indigo-dyed yarns, this classic tartan is an original design by Dopple & Scent, offering rich tonal variation and timeless character.

With repeated wear and washing, the fabric gradually softens and molds to the body, while the indigo develops its own unique patina over time—slowly evolving into a shade and expression that feels entirely your own.

As the name suggests, the Ease Pants are designed for effortless wear.
They feature a relaxed straight silhouette with generous room from the waist through the hips, creating a comfortable yet balanced shape. The fully elasticated waistband includes an inner drawstring for easy adjustment. Although offered in one free size, the pants naturally adapt to a wide range of body types.

Styling is equally flexible—wear them with the top lightly tucked in, or fold the waistband once to adjust the length and proportions to suit your outfit of the day.

Despite their unlined, single-layer construction, the fabric offers enough density to be worn without concern for sheerness. The pants are finished with practical slash pockets at both sides and a back pocket at the hip.

Cool and breathable from early spring through midsummer, they also layer beautifully with tights or leggings in colder seasons without disrupting the silhouette. Pair them simply with a minimal top for an understated look, or layer them under dresses or long tops to let the indigo tartan serve as a subtle accent.
