Featuring an eye-catching small floral motif inspired by gentian flowers native to northern India, this atmospheric crew-neck shirt is crafted using traditional hand block-printing techniques from Ajrakhpur, Gujarat. Artisans stamp each piece using hand-carved wooden blocks, creating subtle variations, delicate fading, and a gentle handmade warmth that machine printing cannot replicate. Intricate 5mm hand-sewn pintucks and soft gathers run across the front, back, and shoulders, adding rich dimensionality and a feminine silhouette. Made from lightweight, soft 80s organic cotton voile, it offers a roomy body width for a relaxed, stress-free fit and can be worn buttoned as a top or unbuttoned as an open layer. Made in India.

The delicate floral pattern is created by artisans using traditional wooden blocks, with each motif printed by hand. The subtle variations in color and slight irregularities are part of the special beauty that can only come from hand block printing.
Each individual flower requires the block to be carefully stamped by hand approximately three times to complete the motif.
One of my favorite details is the delicate pintucking across the front, back, and shoulders. Combined with the soft, airy organic cotton fabric, these intricate handcrafted details give the shirt such a beautiful presence, even when worn very simply.
The subdued Purple is also lovely. It makes an impression simply paired with denim or trousers, and I also recommend wearing it open as a light layer.
There is a warmth to clothing made by hand that feels different from something mass-produced. I hope you will hold this piece in your hands and enjoy all the subtle details of the block print and beautiful pintucking.
