This Bengal Stripe Shirt is crafted from handwoven cotton fabric with an original multi-stripe design. The fit is relaxed without being overly loose, making it a versatile piece that complements a wide range of styles.

The shirt features a soft, comfortable handwoven stripe fabric in muted tones, washed for a vintage-inspired finish. Its multi-stripe pattern brings both character and subtle sophistication. The weaving technique is the same as the traditional Bengara-shima stripes cherished in Japan since the Edo period, originating from Bengal’s iconic stripe textiles.
Each piece is carefully crafted by artisans in India. Because of the handmade process, each item has its own unique character—slight irregularities, small imperfections, or variations in texture and yarn are part of its natural charm.
GUPTIHA is a new brand created in collaboration between an Indian craft team and a Japanese creative unit for the fall/winter of 2024.

Rather than following trends, the brand designs its products while respecting the techniques and materials that the artisans have cultivated over the years. As a result, the items have a somewhat rustic yet sophisticated atmosphere.
